Jul 3, 2022 · I've never experienced it with PS3/PS4/PS5 controllers myself, but with other rubber-coated surfaces such as pens and (most recently) an umbrella handle. (Maybe with an old PS2 controller as well – not quite sure.) The good news is that it usually only affects the surface layer of the rubber, with reasonably intact rubber underneath.

I'm at my wits end and am seriously considering getting rid of the thing. Edit: It's not drift, I had one controller that did that and I've had it replaced.

I have two copies of MK11 on my PS5 wasting space now because the DS4 feels much better to use for 2D fighters.
