Monster Hunter Generations is for 3DS only. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is for Switch only (localised is at least). But the Ultimate version on the Switch (as it goes for most Ultimate versions of titles like MH3U and MH4U) always has more content and looks better in general so I'd advise to go for MHGU over MHG when you can! 16. May 7, 2021 · Generations ultimate is always on sale so you can probably pick it up later. Keep in mind that game is 10 times harder than rise. The monsters are nowhere near as forgiving for mistakes in generations ultimate. Rise is more beginner friendly. Whereas Generations ultimate is all about the hardcore players.
Is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate hard to solo?
The G rank is very possible alone but the monsters are much more challenging compared to the solo. Not hard, but if u go solo vs multiplayer beasts, you'll be fighting them for a while, u can find the game for about$30, just fork over the extra 20 for online and you'll have fun for weeks/months.

It's still worth playing, Monster Hunter games don't get replaced by new entries whenever one comes out since they're all different. Plenty of people will still play GU after Rise comes out so I recommend getting it if you're interested.

You can get 200-300hrs or more out of the base game so you don't need to spend on the expansion straight away if you can't. Reply reply.
