Apr 27, 2023 · so I’ve seen that diagram before trying to figure this piece out. I’m relatively sure that the rod that is called (4) on there is the rod I’m trying to get back into place. I am pretty certain I found the correct hole it needs to go in but I’ve only been able to successfully get it in the hole and lock the clip onto it once.

Jan 30, 2010 · Best thing to do is jack up the car, put a jackstand under it for safety. Then grab the tie rod and try to see if you can move it around by hand. If it is really easy to move around or you notice that it is really loose, then you need a new tie rod. If you can move it but with a lot of force, then its probably still good.
