Disconnect the cable. 6. Reboot. 7. Remove the controller from Bluetooth devices and pair it again (for me it paired with a slightly different name) 8.

Aug 13, 2019 · EDIT: Using an Xbox 360 controller works flawlessly. Just not the XB One controller. EDIT 2: I have no idea why, but the controller is now working normal again. Might be the mix of removing the controller from the Device Manager first, and then using an Xbox 360 controller. Maybe this reinstalled the necessary drivers, I really have no clue.

To continue wirelessly you could get an Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter for Window 10 and then connect the controller with the USB and see if it stays synced after you unplug it. Asides from that replacing the controller would most likely be your best bet.
