Jan 6, 2025 · Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said the suspect involved in this morning's standoff situation at a county apartment complex has been apprehended and charged. Zedrick Grady Jr. was charged with two counts of kidnapping and trespassing.

As of press time, Police Chief Terry Gann said he would not like to release the identities of the three suspects because his department is expecting more arrests.
Suspect charged in hostage standoff at county apartment
Jan 10, 2025 · A nine-hour standoff at a Yazoo County apartment complex finally reached its conclusion Monday morning with the escape of two female hostages and the later arrest of a male suspect. Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said he was appreciative of the combined efforts of his office and state agencies, which resulted in no injuries during the standoff.
