Aug 27, 2021 · So I’m going to edit my response here. Your PayPal fees aren’t including taxes paid by the buyer. If I include the taxes paid by the buyer, your PayPal fee calculation is right but the depop fee isn’t right. PayPal fees include taxes and shipping paid by the buyer. Plus this calculator doesn’t figure if the buyer pays for shipping.

Depop states an average shipping time on the sellers home page which is a good indicator of seller reliability. I also think you can tell what a seller is like if you ask them questions before the sale and they reply relatively quickly and their replies are appropriate to the question asked.

Dec 18, 2022 · Depop does not use gmail. If anyone contacts you through an email that doesn’t end in something like @depop.com, it’s a scam. Another tell tale sign of a scam is the grammar and spelling. The emails they sent are extremely poorly written, and a real depop email is generally much more professional. I hope you make lots of sales in the future!

If you used depop shipping, then the shipping will be updated automatically if you used third party like pirate ship or you just paid for a label at the post office, then you will need to go to your “sold items” and then mark the item as shipped and provide a tracking number, which will be on your receipt from the post office.

Oct 5, 2020 · If you choose to ship with depop here’s how it works - let’s say the shipping is $4.50 and the item is $20. The buyer will send you $24.50, and depop will deduct $6.95 - $2.45 (10% of the total incl shipping) and $4.50. The shipping is always sent to the seller rather than directly to depop, so don’t be confused when you see that.
