Jota admitted his 18 months away from Celtic Park felt like a decade. But the Portuguese winger felt like he had never been away after his first training session back. Celtic have secured Jota on a five-and-a-half-year contract after he swapped places with Kyogo Furuhashi.

Jota returns for a reported fee of £9m and has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Scottish champions. During his first spell at the club, the 25-year-old won every domestic honour available to him and scored 28 goals and provided 26 assists. He is being tipped to wear the number 23 jersey on his return.
