In the final episodes of the ID series, Natalia's continued communication with her prior adoptive family wreaks havoc on the DePaul household as they try to help her understand how she's been exploited.

In the final chapter of Natalia's story, a former adoptive family, the DePauls, attempts to uplift and support Natalia to gain financial and personal independence from the Manses. The twisty documentary series unveils more shocking details about Natalia's former adoptive family in four episodes released on Jan. 7 and 8 on Max.

"There were zero hesitations in continuing the story," says ID president Jason Sarlanis of the 'Final Chapter' episodes, streaming Jan. 6-7.

Anna Newlin, who once lived with the Mans family, defends the Mans family on camera, but then suggests to producers of the show that Natalia was struck with a belt and kicked down a flight of stairs by the Manses. "There's some things that can land [Cynthia] and Antwon in jail for a long time," she says in a voiceover.

Michael and Kristine Barnett adopted a Ukrainian girl named Natalia Grace, whom they believed to be 6 years old. However, the couple soon began to suspect that she was an adult con artist who wanted to kill them.

The Final Chapter takes viewers behind the scenes of Natalia Grace’s rocky relationship with her adoptive parents and her dramatic attempt to escape from the Mans family.
