Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed Shadows are both back in the middle of controversy following the new release date for the game.

Shadows was originally planned to release on February 14th, just over a month from now - but it looks like that's not happening. Ubisoft has made a post on X to announce a delay. "Each week has brought valuable feedback from our community.

Ubisoft’s upcoming title, Assassins Creed Shadows, that was set to release in February 2025, has been delayed again and now scheduled for a late first-quarter release in March. This Assassins Creed Shadows delay isn’t the first.

Despite the fact that fans will now have to wait even longer to play Assassin's Creed Shadows, it's most recent delay may be a blessing in disguise.

Taking place in feudal Japan, Assassin's Creed Shadows follows the perspectives of two protagonists. While Naoe is a nimble shinobi who uses her speed and small stature for sly maneuvers, hiding in the shadows with ease, Yasuke is a powerful samurai whose strength promises to cause major impacts in direct battles.

Assassin's Creed Shadows sees a delay for a second time, with Ubisoft announcing it's moving away from the planned February 14 launch date.
