The National Weather Service issued a cold weather advisory for parts of western Massachusetts, which is in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. Wednesday. The following impacted areas could get wind chills as low as negative 15 degrees, with the exception of Northern Berkshire County, which could see wind chills as low as negative 25 degrees:

The coldest low temperatures reached on Wednesday was in Great Barrignton, between minus 20 and minus 15 degrees, the post read. Springfield saw temperatures that were 10 degrees warmer – specifically, between minus 10 and minus 5 degrees.

The Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until midnight on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
