Nearly all evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted for communities in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties affected by the Bridge Fire after it recently became California's largest actively burning wildfire.

California Fire officials say the blaze is expected to grow significantly over the next two days and evacuation warnings have been sent out to communities in Green Valley Lake, north of Highway 18, as well as the communities of Cedar Glen, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, and Valley of Enchantment.

The Bridge Fire in the San Gabriel Canyon reached 3% contained Friday morning after mandatory evacuations were expanded the night before.

Thousands of firefighting personnel were battling early on Friday a wholly uncontained wildfire spread over some 51,000 acres in the steep mountains north of Los Angeles.

The Bridge Fire, near Los Angeles, California, burned 800 acres on Sunday, September 8, with no containment, Cal Fire said.
