NEW YORK — New York Mayor Eric Adams’ lawyer asked, top officials in President Donald Trump’s Justice Department agreed, and seven prosecutors resigned in protest. Now, it’s up to Dale E. Ho, a second-year federal judge in Manhattan, to decide if Adams' corruption case goes away.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams thanked the Justice Department on Tuesday for directing prosecutors to drop the federal case against him, saying he never broke the law or traded power for personal benefit.
