The first woman was classified as a sexually violent predator in Texas history on Thursday after she was convicted more than a decade ago of the physical and psychological abuse of two teen girls, prosecutors said.

Desiree Hamm, 37, was deemed Texas' first female sexually violent predator after being convicted for abusing and kidnapping teen girls, continuing predatory behavior in prison. She's committed to a treatment center with periodic evaluations.

The case against 37-year-old Desiree Hamm goes back to 2009 when prosecutors say she made contact with minors online and proceeded to groom them through role-playing games
