Netflix released its semi-annual data dump on Thursday, unveiling viewership for the streamer’s biggest hits from January-June 2024.

Netflix saw a British invasion this year - with four of its 10 biggest shows globally in the first half of 2024 coming from the U.K.: "Fool Me Once," the Emmy-winning "Baby Reindeer," "The Gentlemen" and "One Day.

After his big Emmy wins on Sunday night, Netflix announced that Baby Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd had inked a multi-year with the streamer for future scripted series. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed the deal on Tuesday at the Royal Television Society‘s London

The $170 million defamation case against Netflix over Baby Reindeer is heading to trial next year. On Tuesday, a federal judge set a start date of May 6, 2025 for Fiona Harvey ’s big swing action against the streamer. The proceedings are estimated to last about two weeks.

Netflix’s newest British thriller drama, Baby Reindeer, was nominated for multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. The seven-episode miniseries became an overnight sensation following its release on April 11, receiving rave reviews and almost immediately becoming the number one most-watched show in over 30 countries.
