The event serves to expose middle school girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and math or STEM through hands-on activities and mentor programs.

Forsyth Technical Community College honored veterans on Thursday, ahead of Veterans Day, which is Monday, Nov. 11. A veterans recognition celebration took place at the Robert Strickland Center.

The funding will go toward the school's nursing and respiratory therapy programs, plus a new program starting in Fall 2025.
