State Rep. Melissa Hortman, the House’s Democratic leader and former speaker, was shot to death early Saturday.

Fiona Treiber, 15, of Bettendorf, was crowned Miss Iowa's Teen, and Lydia Fisher, Miss Tanglewood, 22, of Wapello, was crowned Miss Iowa 2025 at Davenport Central High School.
