Atlanta weathered its second winter storm of the season on Tuesday, seeing about an inch of snow across the metro.

Tuesday is a First Alert Weather Day as snow showers are possible across parts of the metro during the afternoon and evening hours.

The First Alert Weather Team says heavy snow has impacted much of the Deep South through Tuesday from New Orleans to Pensacola.

A winter storm warning was issued for the Columbia area of South Carolina where snow and freezing cold temperatures are expected Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. A winter weather advisory was previously scheduled to go into effect for Richland and Lexington counties,
