Jane’s Addiction were part of the new wave of bands that came out of Los Angeles in the mid 1980s that weren’t quite sure where they belonged. Were they punk? Hard rock? Metal? Alternative?

Jane's Addiction is an influential alternative rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1986. They dissolved in 1991, but briefly returned to tour in 1997 and subsequently vanished shortly thereafter.
