Memorable “Elf” quotes aside, the movie features Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human raised by elves in the North Pole who heads to New York City in the hopes of finding his biological family.

Will Ferrell was surprised with the viral animatronic Buddy the Elf during an appearance on the TODAY show on Jan. 28.
