In the second quarter of 2024, Buffett again bought more shares of Chubb, Occidental, the two Liberty Media Sirius XM tracking stocks, and Sirius XM. He also initiated new positions in aerospace and electronics company Heico and cosmetics retailer Ulta Beauty.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway owns one of the world's most closely watched stock portfolios. It holds stakes in 46 stocks and exchange-traded funds that are worth $296.8 billion, or 30% of its entire market capitalization.

Buffett has trimmed some stocks more than others. Integrated oil and gas company Chevron (NYSE: CVX), for example, is Berkshire's fifth-largest position, and Buffett only sold small amounts in the first and second quarters of 2024 and didn't sell any in the third quarter.

The Oracle of Omaha has more than enough justification to add to the roughly $78 billion he's spent buying shares of his favorite stock since mid-July 2018.
