The House voted 62-29 in favor of a bill that would allow registered sex offenders to ask the courts to remove them from the state registry earlier than what's currently provided in law.
House Bill 1287 would require all voters to register either ahead of an election or on the day of an election. North Dakota is the only state without voter registration.

BISMARCK — Incarcerated women in North Dakota won’t get to have their children live with them in prison. The North Dakota Senate on Friday, Jan. 17, denied Senate Bill 2115 in an 18-29 vote. The vote came after the Senate Judiciary Committee recommended 7-0 to not pass the bill.
