Now, the National Weather Service (NWS) Climate Prediction Center expects a high chance of above-average temperatures for much of the U.S. over Christmas, with the highest possibilities expected in the Plains states, the South, and into the Midwest. Most of these states also are expecting below-average precipitation during the same time frame.
Saturday is your day to prepare for snow. Break out the snow shovel, fill up the gas tank, get some groceries, and fire up the snow blower. Sunday will start with some early snow but it will stop early. The winds and biting cold will also prompt you to get the heavy winter gear out.
