NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Newport News Police Department (NNPD) is investigating an early Thursday morning multi-vehicle crash that killed one driver and sent another to the hospital. According to the NNPD, around 12:12 a.m., their officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Mercury Boulevard.
