COTTON — An evacuation order has been issued for residents "south of Comstock Road, west of Upper Bug Lake (Road), East of Lily Lake, and North of Wood Tick," due to spread of the Munger Shaw Fire, St. Louis County Sheriff Gordon Ramsay posted on social media Wednesday afternoon.
Wednesday, The DNR has reported the Munger Shaw Fire has grown to 1,700 acres and still is 0% contained. They said Wednesday’s weather is looking better as far as helping get this fire contained. Humidity is huge help according to the DNR. Aircraft relief is also available to help suppress the fires Wednesday.
– The Camp House Fire has now destroyed 140 buildings. While there is no updated figure, authorities now say the fire has spread in excess of 12,000 acres. The Jenkins Creek Fire is also ongoing, with deputies asking people to stay off of Forest Hwy 11 that leads from Townline to the City of Hoyt Lakes.
