Saldívar, now 64 years-old, was sentenced to life in prison on Oct. 26, 1995, with the possibility of parole after 30 years.

Yolanda Saldívar, who is serving a life sentence for the 1995 murder of pop star Selena, is seeking parole after three decades in prison, as fellow inmates claim the woman has a “bounty” on her head for slaying the “Queen of Tejano Music.”

In 1995 Tejano music superstar Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, known more popularly as just Selena, was shot and killed at the height of her career. The woman who was convicted of that murder, Yolanda Saldivar, was sentenced to life in prison. But after spending 30 years behind bars, she is now hoping to win her freedom.
