World champion Luke Littler made a surprise appearance at a local darts tournament in Benidorm, just days after his historic PDC World Championship victory. The 17-year-old prodigy stunned fans when he walked into Players Sports Bar in Albir on Wednesday night.

It was an emotional, and seemingly inevitable, weekend for teenage darts phenom Luke Littler. The 17-year-old defeated Michael van Gerwen, one of the game’s greatest players, 7-3 in the PDC World Darts Championship final on Friday night to become the youngest world champion in the history of the sport.

Luke Littler says there is a target on his back now he is world champion as he prepares to launch a defence of his Premier League darts title next month.

The field for this year’s Premier League Darts has been announced, with eight players set to battle it out over 16 weeks before finals night in London. Luke Littler won the event on debut last year and it was a sign of more success to come as he has begun 2025 with his first World Championship title.
