Jon Stewart is not leaving "The Daily Show". . . at least for now. The part-time host is on a hot streak after he won his 23rd Emmy on Sunday night for outstanding talk series for "The Daily Show." This would make Stewart's win the first in nearly a decade since his departure.

Stewart hosted the Comedy Central series starting in 1999. When he left, Trevor Noah took the the helm and led the show until the end of 2022, after which “The Daily Show” had a series of guest hosts, including Jersey’s own Kal Penn. When the show won the 2023 Emmy for outstanding talk series in January, Noah and the cast accepted the award.

Former Patriot Act host Hasan Minhaj revealed to Esquire the advice Jon Stewart gave him following a 2023 New Yorker profile which Hasan blasted as “needlessly misleading.” Stewart famously hosted The Daily Show from 1999 until 2015 before Trevor Noah took the reins.
