New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided an encouraging injury update on veteran slugger Giancarlo Stanton on Saturday.

Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton has been out for the duration of the 2025 season due to injuries in both of his elbows. These last few weeks, he's been steadily making progress and on Thursday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Stanton is taking live batting practice the rest of the week and "potentially" could start a minor-league rehab assignment next week ( via Newsday ).

Stanton could start rehab games as soon as next Tuesday with the Somerset Patriots, NJ.com's Randy Miller reports. If all goes well, he might be back in pinstripes for the Yankees’ June 16 series opener against the Angels at Yankee Stadium. It’s been a long road back for Stanton.
