The Republican National Committee has sued the city of Racine for failing to hire more Republican citizens as election inspectors during the partisan primaries and instead mostly selected volunteers unaffiliated with either of the two major political parties.

The RNC has filed a lawsuit against Racine, claiming the city did not allow some Republican poll workers to work the August election.

The Republican National Committee announced Tuesday that it is suing Racine for allegedly failing to hire the appropriate number of Republican election inspectors for the Aug. 13 primary.
