The Anaheim Ducks wrapped up a disappointing road trip with a matchup, the first game of a home-and-home series, against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. The Ducks were coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, which brought their point tally to three on their season-long six-game road trip.

Spencer Knight makes 34 saves for his second shutout of the season, leading the Florida Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the struggling Anaheim Ducks.

Sam Reinhart leads the Panthers in goals (27) and points (51), while Matthew Tkachuk is second in both points (40) and assists (26). Recently named the “Athlete of the Year” in his native Finland, captain Aleksander Barkov ranks third in points (38) and first in assists (27).

The Ducks are held scoreless for the third time on their season-long six-game trip, finishing 1-4-1 after a 3-0 defeat against the reigning Stanley Cup champs.
