According to the Coast Guard, the fishermen were attempting to transit from Charlevoix to Beaver Island, in a fishing tug, when the boat became stuck about half a mile off of St. James Harbor.

“We are in Lake Geneserath for the fourth annual Lake Geneserath Ice Fishing Tournament here on Beaver Island,” said Levi Connor. It was a beautiful weekend on the south end of Beaver Island.
