Ukraine fired six British Storm Shadows and six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles during its largest aerial bombardment of Russia in the war so far, Ukrainian and Russian officials have said.

Russia downed more than 200 Ukrainian drones and five US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles, according to the popular Shot Telegram channel. Flight restrictions were imposed in the southern Russian cities of Kazan, Saratov, Penza, Ulyanovsk and Nizhnekamsk, Russia’s aviation watchdog said.

Ukraine used six British Storm Shadow missiles and US-made Atacms tactical ballistic missiles in what Kyiv described as its “largest attack” on Russian military facilities.

Ukrainian forces used missiles and drones on Tuesday to target sensitive military and energy sites across Russia.

The barrage appeared to be one of the largest recent assaults in Ukraine’s campaign to damage Russia’s war machine on its home territory.
