SpiceJet Ltd. stock fell more than 6% after the airline’s Rs 3,000-crore qualified institutional placement offered shares at a 20.81% discount to the last closing price.

SpiceJet shares surged over 8 per cent and registered an intraday high of Rs 74.7 per share. The stock surged after reports said the airline has received a good response for its Rs 3,000 crore-worth sale of shares to qualified institutional buyers.

SpiceJet shares dropped nearly 3 percent after a profit booking spree, following its recent rally driven by a Rs 3,000 crore QIP at a discounted price.

The stock of the company fell as much as 6.8% after the company raised Rs 3,000 crore though QIP, while it earlier announced to raise Rs 2,500 crore via qualified placement.

SpiceJet has set a floor price of Rs 64.79 per share for the sale of securities to qualified institutional buyers through which the budget carrier aims to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore.
