The South Dakota National Guard presented three awards for distinguished service, including an award to the Neuhardt family of Rapid City.

If passed, the bill would require the U.S. Congress to formally declare war to deploy South Dakota National Guard members.

Week four of the legislative session was the only week that consisted of five days; the rest are four-day weeks. The session is almost halfway done.
