As the commissioner for the district where the Seaway Hotel is located, I decided to spend a day there, interviewing residents, talking with staff and touching base with nearby business owners.

The city of Duluth has postponed its original July 27 deadline for residents of the Seaway Hotel to vacate the building. They now have until the end of the month to find a new place to stay.
