Microsoft is rolling out a new way to summon Copilot in Windows for voice interactions. The new Copilot for Windows app now has a keyboard shortcut that lets you hold the Alt + Spacebar keys for two seconds to start chatting to Copilot.

A new feature for Copilot on Windows will let you speak to the AI tool after using a keyboard shortcut. Press to talk is in testing among Windows Insiders.

Newer Windows PCs have included a special Copilot key for about a year now. The Copilot key is meant to be a dedicated way to bring up Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant, although some people never use it and have turned to repurposing the Copilot key for other actions.
