McLaren is readying itself for the launch of a new flagship ‘1’ car, which it has now confirmed will be revealed on 6 October at 13:00 BST. It follows the legendary McLaren F1 from the nineties and its successor, the hybrid P1, which launched in 2013.

On 6 October McLaren will pull the covers off the successor to the P1, which will be the ‘best looking, sounding, performing’ McLaren road car possible, according to the firm’s CEO Zak Brown. Being the son of P1 and grandson of F1, the new car couldn’t have bigger shoes to fill.
