A single-engine plane landed in a field in Bennett on Sunday, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, almost within 24 hours of when another plane crashed in Elbert County.

A single-engine aircraft, described as a Vans RV-7 with the word "experimental" on its side, crashed in Elbert County, Colorado, leaving one person dead. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
