During the past two years, Sinner is 2-0 against de Minaur in their head-to-head matchups. Their last one took place at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament on February 18, 2024 and was won by Sinner 7-5, 6-4.

Daniil Medvedev moved back into contention at the ATP Finals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur during which he didn’t face a single break point. It was
