The preseason accolades continued to roll in for the Gonzaga men’s basketball team following its emphatic start to the regular season.  Graham Ike and Ryan Nemb

The other three returning starters at Gonzaga – Nolan Hickman, Ben Gregg and Graham Ike – along with one newcomer, Pepperdine transfer Michael Ajayi, will all be candidates to appear on the four positional watch lists that will be unveiled throughout the week.

Point guard Ryan Nembhard was named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List on Monday. Nembhard, who is the younger brother of former Zag and current Indiana Pacer Andrew Nembhard, is one of 20 candidates named to the watch list.

Gonzaga’s Ryan Nembhard and Graham Ike were two of the 50 players named Wednesday to the Naismith Trophy preseason men’s player of the watch list. Nembhard and Ike made Gonzaga one of only a few schools with multiple selections and were the only players from the West Coast Conference to make the watch list.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Two Gonzaga Bulldogs were named to the John R. Wooden Award preseason watch list, which is given to the best player in men's college basketball. Graham Ike and Ryan Nembhard were two of 50 players picked for the preseason watch list. Gonzaga is one of seven teams with at least two players in the preseason watch list.
