Manchester United and Marcus Rashford could both get their way after the winger’s preferred transfer nudged a step closer to reality thanks to a connected second deal. Rashford, 27, has been omitted from Ruben Amorim’s last 11 matchday squads.

The 27-year-old has been frozen out by Ruben Amorim, having last played for the Red Devils in the 2-1 Europa League victory at Viktoria Plzen on 12 December, with his future at the club in serious doubt.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has again called out Marcus Rashford, telling reporters that the forward "has to change" if he is to force his way back into the matchday squad.

Ruben Amorim has said Manchester United are “a better team” with Marcus Rashford and that they need to score more goals. The England international has missed 11 straight games since being left out of the team for the victory over Manchester City on December 15.

However, Rashford has unsurprisingly not made the trip to Romania for the match on Thursday night. The forward’s last appearance for United came in the Europa League, when he played for 56 minutes against Viktoria Plzen.

Marcus Rashford has NOT been included in the Manchester United squad for their Europa League match against FCSB on Thursday night. The 27-year-old has not played in any of their previous 10 matches across all competitions and was only named a substitute during one of those matches due to a squad shortage for their home defeat to Newcastle.
