Just a few days after the Los Angeles Lakers decided to part ways with point guard D'Angelo Russell, the former lottery pick made his debut in Brooklyn once again. Russell played his first game with the Nets since being traded by the Lakers and put together a very nice showing.

The Lakers are adding more size and shooting while ridding themselves of a player who struggled to find his way alongside LeBron and AD.

Russell, who was drafted second overall by the Lakers in 2015, was traded to Brooklyn by the LA franchise in 2017. He was sent to the Nets along with Timofey Mozgov in exchange for Brook Lopez and the rights to Kyle Kuzma, who was taken 27th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.

After years of D’Angelo Russell trade speculation, the Lakers are finally moving the point guard, agreeing to send him to the Brooklyn Nets for Dorian Finney-Smith, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported. It’s the second time in his career Russell has been traded from the Lakers to the Nets.
