The Mazda Mx-5 Miata is one of the best driver's cars out there at a bargain, and it's been around for 35 years. Mazda is celebrating the little roadster with a 35th Anniversary edition model that's limited to 300 units in the U.

Mazda's send-off to the NC generation of Miata just so happens to coincide with the model's 25th birthday. The appropriately named MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition comes in Soul Red. Mazda builds just 100 of these special Miatas.

Even though Mazda hasn’t kept its intentions to juice up its signature sports car with electrons a secret, the thought of one of the market’s last remaining driver-focused roadsters losing its gas-only purity is a bittersweet thought.
