MIAMI — The Life Time Miami Marathon brought tens of thousands of runners from around the world this weekend and each participant had their own unique story to why they ran on Sunday.

After completing the full marathon with a time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, Paul Eyanae was the first person to cross the finish line, while Beth Marzigliano was the first woman who completed the full marathon. Winners who completed the Miami Marathon half first were Solomon Kagimbi and Nell Rojas.

Among the most compelling stories from this year’s Lifetime Miami Marathon was 83-year old Faye Goldin, who kept her streak of completing the half marathon intact.

Paul Eyanae had a phone call to make once the hoopla died down from his first-ever marathon win in the United States at Sunday's 23rd Life Time Miami Marathon and Half presented by FP Movement. That call went to his wife and three children on their farm back in Kenya,

MIAMI – Sunday was a big day for runners in South Florida. Competitors from across the country, and the world, traveled to the Magic City to take part in the Lifetime Miami Marathon. The event kicked off at 6 a.m. and ended with the finish line at Bayfront Park.
