Reed, 28, was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. The seven-year veteran played his last three seasons with the New York Jets. Since entering the league, the talented defensive back has recorded six interceptions, 51 passes defensed and 414 combined tackles.

The Detroit Lions have themselves a new projected starting cornerback in D.J. Reed. The veteran CB has agreed to terms with the Lions in free agency on a three-year, $48 million deal that won't be official until Wednesday.
