Antioch, a growing and diverse area of Nashville, has endured other prominent shootings in recent years. A 2017 fatal shooting at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ killed one woman and wounded seven people. And in 2018, a shooter killed four people at a Waffle House.

Two people were shot before the shooter turned the gun on themselves at Antioch High School in Nashville, Wednesday, according to officials.

One student was killed and another was injured after a shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter was identified as 17-year-old Solomon Henderson. Henderson turned the gun on himself after shooting the victims. He is deceased.
