The gap between the price paid and the facilities available had to be seen to be believed. Toilets were filthy and the ones near me not serviced. Why do they not give out maps on entry? I got one fro… Full review by pnp5454

Q:
I have booked 2x Sunday tickets for the F1 British Grand Prix next July. Having never done this before and it being for my husband and 68 year old father I’m slightly worried over a couple of points. I see parking is £40 for a shuttle and couple of minute walk or £60 and no shuttle. How user friendly is this shuttle (are there regular shuttles/are there long queues at the end to get on one or am I best just getting the £60 one? They are in the Stowe area with seat numbers. Does this mean they are their seats for the entirety of the day? I note some saying you need to be there for 6am. I assume if they have allocated seats this doesn’t apply to them? Can they take a packed lunch in with them to the Stowe area? Any other tips advice would be greatfully appreciated

Hi. To be honest I had a pretty bad experience of the entire travel experience to the site. If you can drive down to the place it will be great, because there are long lines at the shuttles. Uber is virtually non-existent or charge phenomenally high rates. As far as the GP is concerned, if you have regular seats with numbers then you need not be there so early, but there are a lot of attractions at the GP so might as well be there early. Seat numbers should be there for the entirety of the day. I am not sure about packed lunch to be honest, but most of the food outlets have lines. I would honestly suggest to come here early, enjoy some of the F1 experiences like experiencing the force of the air on the face like an F1 driver does, teaming up to change the tyres a la pit stop, etc. The race per se is a small affair of 1.5-2 hours but it makes sense to be at the track atleast 4-5 hours before the main race.
