Public Holidays and Festival days, temple and canteen open without break. SVT Sydney is one of the famous Hindu temples in the southern hemisphere and is held in veneration by all devotees. The Sri Venkateswara Temple is the first Hindu temple to be built according to South Indian Temple Architecture of the Chola Period (circa 6th to 13th century AD) in Australia. It is also recognised as the largest Hindu Temple to be built in Australia and is visited by Hindus and visitors to Sydney who are interested in the Hindu faith. Students along with their teachers from around New South Wales and ACT who wish to learn about the Hindu faith visit the Temple regularly. It is now a popular stop for Tourist Coach Operators for overseas visitors.
