Does anyone know if the visitor center is open now, during covid? Also, is this a hike that 60+ in average shape can make?
A:
There is no visitor center here. There are times you are doing 3- and 4-point scrambles over boulders, so it isn't an easy hike by any means.

There is a gravel parking area on the west side of the road and a BLM sign. I do not recall any posted hours...we got there about 8 a.m. and there were folks coming off the walking trail then. I would suggest you need to get there at least 3 hours before sun set. The trail is about five to ten minutes to access the basalt cliffs where the petroglyphs are located. You climb around the cliffs to see as many as possible.
