Great museum, its beautiful with a wide range of exhibitions. Pick up a map so you can navigate a bit better. Good benches to take a break if you need one. Its no charge for entry.Full review by aj2015aj5

Self-service lockers are located in the Entrance Hall and can store luggage up to 58 x 44 x 66cm in size.

Not sure I understand your question. We entered through Chambers Street. I believe that is the main entrance. There is access to the entire museum from that entrance. Seems we went up some stairs from entrance and that took us to the main multi story room. From there all the exhibits and rooms were available.
